BUDDHA SPIRAL: Flower bed
A bronze head of Buddha (bought from an antique shop in Dhaka) at the centre of a spiral flower bed. The granite boulders forming the spiral are of local origin from Sognefjord. It represents the spiritual power of meditation and contemplation rooted in the energy which moves as a spiral power in the mind. Spiral meditation is supposed to increase cosmic consciousness and bring forth higher evolution of the mind. Artist: Anup Rej
TRISKELION : A concert place
Abundantly used by the Celts since the Megalithic time. It also appears in many other cultures including the Vikings, Christians, Buddhists etc. It can be found in the centres of cosmic structures like galaxies, giant galaxy clusters etc. It acts as the source of ejection from the centre and and accretion towards the centre. By the mechanisms of ejection and infall it recreates the world again and again. It brings death to all and recreates life from death again. It is the eternal power, sitting in the center of the Buddhist wheel, which brings life death and regeneration. Christian trinity is often interpreted as another version of triskelion. Designed by Anup Rej.
VALKNUT: An outdoor sitting place
It is a magical wand carried by God Odin of Norse mythology which Odin used during a burial ceremony. It has probably similar meaning like the triskelion of the Celts. Valknut literarily means the “knot of the fallen (dead)” and may be associated with the destiny woven as a knot through which dead regenerates again to life in order pass into death and back to life once more. Made of stone slabs. Artist: Anup Rej
TRICEP SYMBOL : Philosophers`s place
Three diamond symbol is a symbol of the power of the divinity in Norse culture. It is another version of Valknut. Artist: Anup Rej

BIRDS OF LIGHT GATE
Two birds, one posed to fly away, and the other who has landed in the garden make the main design of the gate formed in the shape of Yin and Yang. One bird is imagined to represent a cosmic messenger who brings news and information from the cosmos to the garden; the other bird is conceived as the messenger who carries the cosmic knowledge from the garden to the outside world. The ideas of the messenger birds are inspired by Hugin and Munin, the two ravens of Odin. The gate is also designed to represent the portal to inner realm of divinity. This divinity is present in the three eye shaped forms. The birds guard the “Tree of Life”, the path which leads to the inner part of the garden. At the roots of the tree there exist coiling double serpents as in Kundalini. The double coiled serpents also form a part of the knot entwined around the root structure (like Celtic symbolism). The gate is made of white granite queried, shaped and polished in India. The bird heads were made by Eide Stone in Norway. The metal and wooden door was constructed by a Danish artisan living in Kristiansand, Norway. The metal railing works were done by Bidne Mek from Voss. Local people from Vik and Vangsnes have contributed in setting up the structure. Artist: Anup Rej
Sculpture: Cosmic Design
According to Anup Rej, who has studied structures in the universe starting from proto-planteary disks around stars to super-super-clusters of galaxies, the universe seems to use very similar template in building cosmic structures in different scales. One central element of the dynamics of the cosmic structure formation is a central three armed spiral (silimar to the triskelion of the Celt) which regulates the inflowing and the outflowing materials from the centres. What seems to fall in towards the centre comes out of the centre following intricately entangled paths. All what goes out, in turn, returns towards the centre following complexly entangled routes. Thus all structures create a weaving of incoming and outgoing streams around the core surrounding the triple spiral which drives the dynamics of the weaving. This pattern repeats in similar way in the cores of cosmic bodies existing in different scales. Anup Rej calls it the “Cosmic Design” and he has created an image of this pattern, observed in the centre of a galaxy cluster, on granite. This design is a real scientific fact which plays a central role in construction of our universe. The granite used in the sculpture is from India. It is called Orion Blue. Eide Stone in Norway has made the sculpture.
